Released March 6th 2021, 15 years after its debut, the Nike Air Max 1 x CLOT “Kiss of Death” is back to continue CLOT and Nike’s collaborations. The OG pair was spearheaded by legendary Chinese recording artist MC Yan, his idea being to create a sneaker that embodied East meets West mentality. Inspired by the traditional Chinese practice of acupuncture, and the medicinal theory of pressure points, the “K.O.D” AM1s featured a diagram of feet on the insoles. Staying true to its 2006 OG pair, this 2021 version is dripped in premium leather and suede, featuring material such as ostrich and snakeskin on the heel, Swoosh and tongue. Notable updates to the OG pair include a red leather heel, matching the snakeskin Swoosh and tongue, rather than an orange suede heel. In addition, the sole consists of an icy blue translucent material that shows off a multi-coloured map of the sole’s pressure points. These Air Max 1s are so fire!
