Released October 26th 2022, the Nike Dunk High “Somos Familia - Día de Muertos” is dripped in richly textures suede and intricate embroidered patterned canvas that features alongside a split design. The design represents salt and water, common items at ofrenda - offerings placed in altars that honour the deceased and help guide their souls back home. According to tradition, salt prevents the body from losing its essence, while water quenches the thirst of the soul as it travels to the ofrenda.
