Ishod Wair is celebrated for his ability to make magic happen on a skate deck - but away from the park, he passionately supports a different form of four-wheeled transportation. In commemoration of Ishod's long time love of cars, this special-edition SB Dunk High sees Wair join forces with another friend of the brand, British-born former fashion designer and fellow L.A. auto enthusiast Magnus Walker. Released June 21st 2021, the Ishod Wair x Magnus Walker x Nike SB Dunk High “277” is dripped in premium leather, while the shoe's graphics and hues mimic a German sports car made famous in Walker's "Urban Outlaw" film - the 1971 Porsche 911T. The leather upper wears away over time to reveal a layer of gold - the original colour of Walker’s 911T. “This is the second 911 I’ve ever bought, and it’s a 1971 911T. So this car’s 50 years old. I bought it at the Pamona swap meet in 1999, 22 years ago. The car developed over time it wasn’t like I threw money at it and said let’s go racing. It’s beat up, it’s got character, it’s got patina.” Explains Magnus. Embroidery on the heel and tongue depicts the Union Jack flag, bringing Magnus back to his British roots, while blue and red tartan plaid lines the inside of each shoe - inspired by his Porsche 67 S, which sports the same interior. Finally, racing-inspired visuals sit on the lateral heel, sockliner, quarter panels and midsole, ensuring this style makes a statement even when flying by at high speeds. “277 is purely a random number it doesn’t mean anything, I just wanted a race number with sevens in it.” Said Walker.
