Released May 9th 2023, the Nike Air Force 1 Low “San Francisco Pack – Lotus Flower” is designed to honour San Francisco's Chinatown - the oldest Chinatown in the U.S. and one of the largest Chinese enclaves outside of Asia - this AF1 celebrates the strength of this enduring community. Dripped in premium leather, debossed lotus graphics on the heels match the same graphics on the tongue labels and insoles, the design's motif nods to a flower known to flourish in even the harshest conditions. Vibrant bursts of “Lotus Pink” can be seen alongside Gold embroidery and a “Sky-Blue” outsole that symbolize hope for the future. The tongue and insoles feature characters spelling 新金山 (Gau Gam Saan, or "Old Gold Mountain") - a symbolic reminder of the grit that can overcome adversity. Nike is proud to invest in non-profits working to advance equality in communities where everyone can thrive. One of the Swoosh partners is The Asian American Foundation (TAAF) whose mission is to serve the AAPI community in their pursuit of belonging and prosperity that is free from discrimination, slander and violence.
