For Kobe and Gigi’s Legacy. Released May 1st 2022, the Nike Zoom Kobe 6 Protro “Mambacita Sweet Sixteen” honours the legacy that Kobe and Gianna 'Gigi' Bryant built. One that propelled all generations to continue their quest to be better, for themselves and for the game that unites us all. To the fans that have embodied the Mamba Mentality from the beginning and the young hoopers that have pushed Gigi's love for the game forward, this one’s for you. Nike worked on an exclusive release in the US - prioritizing Members who have put the Mamba Mentality to work on the court and fans who have followed Kobe and Gigi's journey from the beginning. The Nike Kobe 6 Protro “Mambacita Sweet 16” were released exclusively via Exclusive Access in the SNKRS app, and pairs were also be available for Members in the Los Angeles area via SNKRS Pass reservations. Profits from the sale will be donated to the Mamba & Mambacita Sports Foundation. Dripped in faux Black snake scales across the upper that reference the Kobe’s Black Mamba nickname, the Swoosh, tongue logo and leather back panels are executed in white. A Mamba & Mambacita Sports Foundation crest appears in place of the traditional Kobe signature heel mould, with "Kobe" and "Gigi" printed on the left and right shoe, respectively. A gold "2" on the lateral heel window represents Gigi's AAU uniform number, while the insole design pays further tribute to Gigi with a graphic that features a halo, angel wings, the nickname "Mambacita" and another number "2." A beautiful tribute.
