The Off-White x Air Jordan 1 High "UNC" released in May 23rd 2018 as part of Off-White x Nike "THE TEN" collection, becoming Virgil Abloh’s third Air Jordan 1 High following the "Chicago" and EU Exclusive "White" colourways. As part of "The Ten" Collection, Virgil Abloh introduced a unique, reconstructed Air Jordan 1 High. His take on the icon was designed to evoke a DIY nature with a hand-cut, reconstructed look. Abloh wanted it to feel approachable, something that you can also create with the right tools at home. This all-new design approach on the classic silhouette uses the iconic "UNC" colourway, inspired by MJ's college colours of the University of North Carolina. Dripped in premium leather and suede, Virgil peels away the layers and panels of this unforgettable icon, revealing the details that made this a true landmark of sport and culture. Exposed foam on the tongue and heel lining, as well as exposed stitching echoes Virgil’s design approach, while classic Off-White features include a zip-tie and lettering. Icy white mid panel, toe box and tongue are designed to yellow, aging into a vintage aesthetic and finishing off this stunning sneaker. What a crazy dope design on the AJ1! So fire!
