On March 20th 2024, renowned Brazilian skateboard sensation, Rayssa Leal, released her collaborative SB Dunk Low. At only 15 years old, Leal etched her name in skateboarding history, clinching a silver medal at the sport’s Olympic premiere in the 2020 Tokyo Games. Introduced to many at the tender age of 7, a video of Leal effortlessly executing a heelflip in a fairy princess costume catapulted her into the skate limelight. By 11, she became the youngest street skater to conquer a Women’s Final on the Street League Skateboarding World Tour, subsequently showcasing her skills at the prestigious X Games. Leal's take on the Dunk Low encapsulates her groundbreaking contributions to competitive skateboarding, as well as her drive to push boundaries. Pulling from her favourite colours and competition designs, it sets the scene with materials and graphic elements personal to Rayssa's journey. Dripped in a premium leather base with textile overlays, while debossed smiley face details can be seen on the mid panels. Further smiley face details feature on the beaded dubraes, while Leal’s signature logo is placed on the heel and sockliner. ‘Rayssa’s Dunk’ lettering features underneath the classic ‘Nike SB’ branding on the tongue labels to complete the look. The Rayssa Dunk Low is a symbol of possibility, determination and the arrival of skateboarding's future.
