Released November 9th 2022, the Trophy Room x Air Jordan 7 “New Sheriff in Town” celebrates the "greatest game never seen" with details that root you to the squad that participated at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics. Behind closed doors, during a soon-to-be-legendary scrimmage, the best ballers in the world battled it out for bragging rights, and when the dust settled and after a hell of a lot of trash talking, the crown was passed. Dripped in premium suede, an “Obsidian” “True Red” and “Metallic Gold” colour scheme inspired by Team USA colours can be seen throughout. Colours of the Olympic ring feature on the heel tabs alongside Trophy Room’s logo and the number 9 symbolize the gold medals from the Dream Team championship run. “Monte Carlo” and “1992” printed on the insoles nod to the location where the Dream Team would practice, while Michael Jordan’s signature are embossed on the heels. An embroidered message under the tongue reads “New sheriff in town” refers to MJ’s infamous quote to Larry Bird and Magic Johnson during the team’s scrimmages. Special co-branded packaging and clipboard with extra laces completes the design. Super dope!
